"I learned the most important lesson of my life: that the extraordinary is not the birthright of a chosen and privileged few, but of all people, even the humblest. That is my one certainty: we are all the manifestation of the divinity of God." -Paulo Coelho

Getting Ready
Hi, everyone!
It's official! Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul it is! Words can't begin to express how excited I am for this new adventure! I will be leaving sometime in late August or early September, but this will depend on the length of time it takes to get my visa. Hopefully, this will not take terribly long (prayers are appreciated for this!).
Santa Maria is in the most southern state of Brazil. Looking at the map above, there is a little arrow pointing to Santa Maria. I'll be working there with women and youth ministries in the Diocese of Southwest Brazil under the guidance of The Most Rev. Francisco de Assis da Silva, who is the Bishop of the Diocese of Southwest Brazil and the Primate of the Episcopal Anglican Church of Brazil.
I'll write more when I have more information over the next few weeks. Thank you for stopping in to check out my blog!
Love,
Rachel

Thanks,
